K. Lawrence Dunham

K. Lawrence Dunham (Born Kaye Lawrence Dunham in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1933, a.k.a. Kaye L. Dunham, Kaye Dunham, K. L. Dunham, K. Dunham) is an American songwriter and lyricist. He resides in Los Angeles, California. Dunham was educated at Dartington Hall School in Devon, England, and received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Antioch Los Angeles in 1992.

Dunham was a participating writer on one Grammy-winning recording and two Grammy-nominated recordings:

Dunham has songs recorded and performed by many artists including Harry Belafonte, Nancy Wilson, Irene Kral, Sue Raney, David Allyn, Helen Merrill, Mary Stallings, Madeline Eastman, Sherry Williams, John Proulx, Jane Olivor, Warren Vache, Diana Ross, Thelma Houston, and The Commodores.

Johnny Mandel, Roger Kellaway, Bryce Rohde, Tom Baird (d.1975), Michael Masser and John Proulx are among the composers with whom he has co-written.(see “Discography” below) He also collaborated with Richard Markowitz (d.1994) for soundtrack songs sung by Richie Havens in the movie “The Boss' Son” (1978).
